Celebrate Disability Awareness Month with Challenging the Stigma

"Challenging the Stigma '', a special event brought to you by Williams County Public Library, Williams County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and The Ability Center, will be returning for another evening of combating the stigmas associated with disabilities. On Thursday, March 28th at 4PM, join us at the Bryan Main Library, as we kick off the event with speaker Alex Miller, Special Olympics Athlete. Attendees will also hear an update on the progress of the Inclusive Park in Bryan. Afterwards, author Katie Maskey, author of “Ferdinand with the Extra Toes” will talk about her cat Ferdinand, who inspired her book. Katie will also touch on her writing experience, and will hold a book signing. Copies of “Ferdinand with the Extra Toes” will be available to purchase.

While at the “Challenging the Stigma” event make sure to view the Art Exhibit by Soaring Arts Studio, of Napoleon, OH, and watch the Photo Essay “A Day in the Life” produced by the Board of Developmental Disabilities.
