Tail Waggin' Tutors

The Stryker Branch Library would like to invite area children to make an appointment to reserve their time to come and read to a visiting therapy dog. “Tail Waggin’ Tutors” will be held at the library on the third Thursday of each month, starting on January 17th. Following sessions will be held on the Thursdays of February 21st, March 21st, and April 18th. From 3:15 to 4:00 pm, children in preschool through 6th grade will be able to read in 15 minute intervals to Miya the therapy dog.

Bingo for Books

On Friday, January 18th the Edgerton Branch Library will be holding “Bingo for Books” from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Winners who get a Bingo get to choose a free NEW book! This event is open to school-aged children, and you must pre-register to attend by Wednesday, January 16th as the number of participants is limited. Glow Party

The Bryan Main Library will be hosting a “Glow Party” Teen Night, for ages 10 to 15, on Friday, January 18th. Come and party in the dark from 5:30 to 7:00 pm! This FREE program will feature strobe lights, loud music, glow sticks, neon, and more!

The library will not be able to take phone calls during the program. All parental arrangements should be made prior to the event. Sign up at the Bryan Main Library, located at 107 East High Street or call the Adult Desk at 419-636-6734 ext. 221.

Jungle Friend Workshop

The Edon Branch Library will be hosting a Noah's Ark Animal Workshop on Saturday, January 19th, from 11:00 am to noon. Children will build their own “Jungle Friend” that will have a special wish tucked inside. The book, Giraffes Can’t Dance will be read. It is a touching story about learning to be brave, and express your own unique self. There is no cost for this event, but you must preregister to attend by Saturday, January 12th.
