On Thursday, Oct.19th at 6pm the WCPL Local History Center will hold the program, "Murder Most Foul." Attendants will learn about 3 murders in Williams County history. Tales of crime include grandparents shot for $750, a couple gunned down for the use of their car, and a local veterinarian killed by the hired help. Join WCPL Programming Manager Denver Henderson for the Williams County Public Library's 7th Annual Fountain Grove Cemetery Tour. The tour will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 6pm. Meet at the cemetery mausoleum, which will be open for the tour! This year, the tour will focus on those who have served in uniform, from the Revolution to Vietnam. Hear the fascinating stories of veteran service, and their lives in Williams County. Along the way hear about the history of the cemetery and the symbolism in tombstone architecture. This is a FREE EVENT for adults and teens.

In the early 1900s, the Wabash Railroad ran through the heart of America and served the rural communities of Williams County. The Wabash Railroad gave opportunity to small businesses in the county and provided a passenger service for the locals to see the country near and far. Join Randy Bible, Wabash Railroad Historical Society President in the program "The Wabash Railroad through Williams County". This a free program and will be held in the Local History Center Harmon Room on Thursday, September 21st @ 6pm.
