Soul & Oak -- Carnegie Concert Series

Soul & OakOn Friday, May 1st at 8:00 pm the band Soul & Oak will perform as part of the Carnegie Concert Series at the Bryan Main Library.
Soul & Oak is a group of independent singer/songwriters who have partnered together and combined their unique sounds. While the artists’ influences range from indie folk to new age blues, they share a mutual appreciation for acoustic music and moving lyrics. It is on this appreciation of organic heartfelt music the group based their name.
Soul & Oak is made up of members Seth Creekmore, Serges Himbaza, Chase Hayes, and Nate Manning. Each band member has been on their own musical journey, which brings a unique sound to the group.

WCPL Recognizes its Volunteers

WCPL Thanks its VolunteersIn celebration of National Volunteer Week, April 12 through April 18,  Williams County Public Library would like to express gratitude to all those who so generously give their time and efforts as volunteers to their local libraries. The strength of a community can be measured by how much citizens give back. WCPL is blessed to have many citizens who donate their time and support for the betterment of the library.

Blackout Poetry at Pioneer

Poetry Month

In celebration of National Poetry Month in April, Pioneer Library will be holding a Blackout Poetry Contest.  Teens and adults will be given a page cut out from a withdrawn paperback book.  Then, using the words on the page, they will create a poem by blacking out, coloring, and using artistic talents to feature words that create a poem on the page.   Patrons will be able to vote for their favorite poem, and a prize will be awarded to the winner.  Pick up your book page, at the library circulation desk and join in the fun! Pioneer Branch Library is located at 106 Baubice Street.  For more information on the Blackout Poetry Contest, please contact library manager Rose King at 419-737-2833.
