Meet Author Greg Smith at Bookends

Greg SmithMeet local author Greg Smith on Tuesday, September 30th from 6:00-7:00 pm at Bookends Used Bookstore inside the Bryan Library.  Mr. Smith is a writer of suspense novels, who currently has two titles published Holy Lotto and Wrong Left Turn. Greg has also just finished the book 3 Times the Sparrow, which will be available to purchase in late 2014. Mr. Smith is presently working on the sequel to Holy Lotto, after the book received numerous favorable reviews. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. If you are unable to attend the book signing, but would like to purchase Mr. Smith’s novels, you can order the books online at amazon.com or barnesandnoble.com.

Meet author Victor A. Baird

Victor A. Baird will be speaking on the history of the Wabash Fourth District on October 21 at 6:00 p.m. at the Edon Branch Library.  Mr Baird will be signing and selling copies of his book Railroading on the Wabash Fourth District, which contains information on Edon and the Williams County area. This is the perfect program for history buffs and railroad enthusiasts. If you are unable to attend the book signing you can purchase Railroading on the Wabash Fourth District online at www.erstwhilepublications.com.  The Edon Branch Library is located at 105 S. What's All the Hoopla?

hooplaThe library is happy to announce a new service for our library patrons.  Hoopla allows you to stream movies, music, TV shows and audio books to your mobile device or computer.  And all you need is a library card!  Like the Ohio Digital Library titles can be borrowed for free with no overdue fees.  And with Hoopla there are no waiting lists!  All the titles are available all the time.  You can get the Hoopla app on iTunes or at the Google Play store.  Just go to Hoopladigital.com, choose the Williams County Public Library, sign up with your library card and PIN (ask us if you can't remember your PIN) and begin borrowing and creating favorites lists. You can borrow up to 10 titles a month.

New Audio Books

Check out some of the new audio books added to the library's catalog this week. You can also sign up for our Audio Book newsletter and receive updates of new titles directly to your email. Audio books are a great way to read while driving, working around the house, allowing you to read anytime, anywhere.
