WCPL Staff Spotlight Our homebound services. If you can't get to the library, we can come to you. Our Homebound Services are here to ensure that everyone in our community has access to the library, regardless of mobility challenges. I’m excited about this year’s Summer Reading Program, which is centered around an art theme. We have a variety of fun art-inspired programs lined up, along with special events like an Exotic Zoo visit, Jim Basketball Jones, a magic show, and a Library Lock-In for the kids! We can’t wait to share all of these activities with our community! 1.Tell us a little about yourself. I grew up in rural Fulton County, Ohio, and currently live with my husband, our cat Klausey, and our dog Nemo. I have a passion for acrylic and watercolor painting, as well as writing and poetry. I've had the pleasure of working at the library for the past 13.5 years. 2. What have you most enjoyed so far about being the Edon Branch Manager for WCPL? I’ve truly enjoyed connecting with the wonderful people of Edon and introducing them to the variety of fun and free programs we offer. It’s been so rewarding to see the community engage with our events and take advantage of the resources available to them. 3. What is a service that WCPL offers that you wish the community were more aware of? 4. Favorite book? The Giver by Lois Lowry. I’m drawn to how it beautifully explores the complexities of the human experience. One of the lines that resonates with me most is, "Even trained for years as they all had been in precision of language, what words could you use which would give another the experience of sunshine?" 5. What events are you most excited to have at the Edon Branch Library in the upcoming months?
