Bryan Library Summer Reading Programs

The Bryan Main Library Children’s Department invites area children to take part in “A Universe of Stories” for the summer reading programs of 2019. Sign up for summer reading will begin on Monday, June 03, and programs will run from June 10 through July 20.

Weekly themed programs will be held at the library. Tuesdays will have story times at 11:00 am and 6:30 pm that will be geared to ages 0-6 years old, however all ages are welcome to participate. “Let’s Move,” which includes fun activities with music and rhythm, will be held on Wednesdays at 11:00 am. On Thursdays, Lego Club will take place at 4:00 pm, and Art Works will then be held from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. There will be no programs on Thursday, July 4 as the library will be closed for Independence Day. Fridays, beginning on June 14, will be “Stories in the Park” at 10:00 am.  June 14 story time will be at the Hitt Park.  Mattie Marsh Park will be the location for June 21. Enjoy story time at Moore Park on June 28. July 5, 12, and 19 will bring story times to Garver Park, East End Park, and Roseland Park respectively. Each Saturday of Summer Reading will have Make & Take Crafts from 9:30 to 11:30 am.

On Friday, July 12 at 6:00 pm, the Madcap Puppets will put on, “The Great Space Caper” at the library! In the program, famous space explorer Buzby crash lands his spaceship on a strange planet and forms an unlikely friendship with a stranded alien named Galax. Together, they uncover the mysteries of our universe as they search for a new planet that the funny little creature can call home. This program is open to all ages, and you must register to attend by Thursday, July 11.
