The Edon Branch Library will be hosting a Noah's Ark Animal Workshop on Saturday, January 19th, from 11:00 am to noon. Children will build their own “Jungle Friend” that will have a special wish tucked inside. The book, Giraffes Can’t Dance will be read. It is a touching story about learning to be brave, and express your own unique self. There is no cost for this event, but you must preregister to attend by Saturday, January 12th.
The Stryker Branch Library will offering their annual “winter reads” program from January 22nd through March 2ndcalled Bundle Up and Read. All area children are invited to head over to the library and participate in the fun program by following these four easy steps.
Seniors, age 60 and older, are invited to create crafts on the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Pioneer Senior Center, located at 101 North Elm Street. Hosted by the Pioneer Branch Library, participants will make a themed craft at each program, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. The first craft will be held on Tuesday, January 22nd, and participants will make cat and dog toys that will be donated to the Williams County Humane Society. This is a FREE event, with all supplies being provided by the library.
The Pioneer Branch Library will be holding the special cooking program, “What Can You Waffle?” on Wednesday, January 23rd, from 1:00 to 2:30 pm. Come discover all the yummy things you can cook/create using a waffle maker! There will be a cooking demonstration and recipe handouts for all participants. Waffle makers aren’t just for waffles anymore! This is a FREE program for adults. You must register to attend by noon on Tuesday, January 22nd.
