Raccoon Plush Pal Worksop

The Edon Branch Library will be hosting a “Ready for School”, Noah's Ark Animal Workshop on Saturday, August 17^th, at 10:00 am. Children will hear the story, The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn, a tale about calming the fears of Chester, a young raccoon afraid to start Kindergarten. In the book, Chester’s mother reassures him by kissing his palm, and tells him to rub it on his face to remind him that he is loved. After listening to the heartwarming story, attendants will build their own “Rocco the Raccoon” plush pal, who has a red heart on his palm. Children will get to take home the raccoon they build, to always remind them of The Kissing Hand story.  This is a FREE program but you must preregister to attend by Friday, August 16th.
