Celebrate the 4th Annual Bryan Oktoberfest

Dust off your dirndls and lederhosen, it’s that time of year again! On Saturday, October 6 come celebrate the 4th annual Bryan Oktoberfest! This year the event will be put on by the Williams County Public Library. Held on Walnut Street, and at the Bryan Main Library, the German festival will transport you to little Bavaria, from 5:00 pm to midnight. There will be themed games and contests, such as the autobahn race for kids, and the masskrugstemmen contest for adults. The Eicher’s Subs food truck will be selling specialty subs along with their regular menu, and the traditional treat of strudel will also be available. And since it is Oktoberfest, of course, beer will be served! Prost!

This year the event will feature family time from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. There will be bounce houses, face painting, henna tattoos, along with themed games for kids and teens. All kids/teen activities are at no extra charge, including FREE pony rides, which will run an extra hour past family time, to end at 9:00 pm!

Throughout the festival, adults can watch different sporting events on tv monitors, in the library parking lot tent. There will also be a beer tray relay, brat toss contest, and more. At 8:00 pm the popular local band Remedy will start playing, and will perform until midnight

Admission into Oktoberfest is $1.00 for attendants under the age of 21, and $2.00 for those 21 and older. Those under 21 who present a valid WCPL library card at admission will enter for FREE. Those 21 and older must present valid photo ID to enter the event. The Bryan Main Library is located at 107 East High Street. For more information, please contact 419-636-6734 ext. 239.
