The Pioneer Branch Library will be holding a Homeschool Chick Candling Program, that all Pioneer area homeschool families are welcome to attend. Chick Candling is a method used to study the growth and development of a chicken embryo inside an egg. The method uses a bright light source behind the egg to show details through the shell. The first program at the library will be held on day 10 of the hatching cycle.
Kids, ages 6 to 15, are invited to create Bedazzled Branches on Saturday, February 24 from 10:30 am to noon, at the Pioneer Branch Library! Decorate tree branches with various craft materials, such as paint, sequins, ribbon, yarn, colored tape, glitter, and pom-poms. Create either a floor display or table top display by placing branches in either a container or vase. This program is FREE to attend! You are welcome to bring your own special container to use for your branch display, or you can choose from a variety of containers provided by the library.
The Pioneer Branch Library will be holding Kingkrist “Cabin Fever” on Tuesday, February 20 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Kingkrist is an adult craft program for ages 16 and older. In the “Cabin Fever” session, participants will be using paper folding techniques to create a one of a kind design. There will be various cutout word themes and colors to personalize your own wall wreath. All supplies will be provided by the library. You must sign up to attend this program as the class is limited to 10 participants. The Pioneer Branch Library is located at 106 Baubice Street.
