On Friday, August 17 the Edgerton Branch Library will be holding “Bingo for Books” from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. Winners who get a Bingo get to choose a free NEW book! The Edgerton Branch Library invites 4th and 5th graders to join “The Breakfast Club”. Held on Saturday, August 11 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am “The Breakfast Club” is a fun book club that includes a hot, homemade breakfast! Come in your jammies and discuss the book, “Stick Dog” by Tom Watson. As this book has an AR book level of 4.5, and is worth 2 AR points, participants will be able to use this book to help meet their AR goal at school.
On Friday, July 27 the Edgerton Branch Library will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the beloved classic, “The Sandlot” by showing the movie on the library lawn! Come hangout at 7:30 pm, and enjoy a dinner of hotdogs, chips, cookies, and refreshments. The movie (rated PG) will start at approximately 9:00 pm, and will be shown outside on the big screen. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, bug spray, etc. In the event of rain, the movie will be played inside the library.
On Wednesday, July 18 the Edgerton Branch Library will be holding the program Good Vibrations with Science Central at 1:00 pm! Sound has never been this exciting! Attendants will vibrate with excitement as we use our five senses to delve deeper into the movement of sound through different states of matter. See and hear concrete examples of how sound travels, the components of sound waves, compression and rarefaction waves and pitch. This Summer Reading program is FREE to attend, and open to all ages.
